Rifidi Edge Alien Documentation
This is a help document for using the Alien reader in Rifidi Edge.
Overview
There is already a basic overview of general Rifidi Edge functionality at the Edge Server User Documentation page. This will be a more in-depth look at what you can do with the Alien and Rifidi Edge.
Getting Started
First we will need to create a reader and connect to it. Check the Edge Server User Documentation for how to do that. Create a session on the Alien reader you just created, and start it to make sure the connection is working properly. If you wish you can click on the icon of the reader you created and adjust some of the properties.
Creating and Customizing a Command
Now you will need to create and customize a tag command for the Alien. Look to the "Command View" tab in the lower right and right click on the "Alien-9800_GetTagList" folder.
